Spain autonomous communities map quiz
This map quiz covers Spain's 17 autonomous communities, from Galicia on the Atlantic coast to Catalonia on the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands in the Atlantic. Ceuta and Melilla are autonomous cities, so they are not part of this 17-answer game.
Build a framework around the coasts
Start in the north with Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, and Navarre. Catalonia occupies the northeast corner, while the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia continue down the eastern coast. Andalusia forms much of the south, and Extremadura lies against the Portuguese border.
Learn the center and the two archipelagos
Castile and León is the broad inland community north of Madrid. Castilla–La Mancha spreads south and east of Madrid, while La Rioja is a much smaller northern community. Aragon links the interior with the northeast. The Balearic Islands lie in the Mediterranean, and the Canary Islands appear in an inset so their islands remain easy to select.

Improve through regional practice
First complete untimed rounds by concentrating on one part of Spain at a time. Once the coast and large inland communities are secure, focus on smaller neighbors such as La Rioja, Navarre, Cantabria, and Madrid. Timed play then tests whether each community name leads immediately to the correct place.
