How to play Up to 100
Each round sets a hidden land-area total as 100%. You begin with one country already on the gauge, then choose other countries to move the total as close to 100% as possible without going over.
How a round works
- Check the Starting Country and its percentage of the hidden target.
- Search for a country and add it to the gauge. Its real land area remains hidden during play.
- Add as many countries as you want up to Maximum Picks, or stop early when you are satisfied.
- You cannot add the Starting Country again or use the same country twice in one round.
- Reaching 99.5% through 100% is Perfect. Going over 100% is a Bust and scores 0 for the round.
Scoring
Below 99.5%, your final percentage rounded down is your base score. A Perfect earns 100 base points and a Bust earns 0. The five round multipliers are ×1, ×1, ×2, ×3 and ×3, for a maximum total of 1,000 points.
Difficulty and Maximum Picks
Mixed begins with familiar countries and becomes more challenging across the five rounds. Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert keep every round at the selected level. Maximum Picks can be set from 2 to 7 and does not change the maximum possible score.
Review your countries
Actual land areas are not shown between rounds, so they cannot become hints. After all five rounds, the results page lets you review the Starting Country and every country you added, together with their real land areas.
