Sort flags by continent
Flag Sort challenges you to drag each flag from the center into the continent its country belongs to. You have 60 seconds to recognize countries, place them on your mental world map and build your score.
How to play
- Choose a difficulty and start. On your first visit, read the tutorial and select “Got it” to begin the countdown.
- Drag with a mouse or slide with a finger, then release inside a continent box: Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America or Oceania.
- Each answer immediately brings up the next flag. A mistake shows the correct continent and play continues. Releasing outside all boxes does not answer or cost points.
- Play ends when time reaches zero. A flag still being dragged must be dropped before the deadline to score.
Points and combos
A correct answer earns 100 points. Consecutive correct answers add 10 more bonus points each time, up to 50 bonus points per flag. With the current settings, the awards are 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, then 150 points from the sixth consecutive answer onward.
A wrong answer subtracts 50 points and resets the combo. Your score cannot fall below zero. Accuracy and an unbroken streak help you score higher.
Choosing a difficulty
Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert draw flags only from the selected level. Start with Easy to practice matching familiar flags to continents.
Mixed starts with 3 Easy and 2 Medium questions, followed by 1 Easy, 2 Medium and 1 Hard, in that order. Each subsequent block contains 2 questions from each of the four levels, shuffled into a random order.
Results and high scores
At the end, check your score and high score. High scores are saved separately for each difficulty in this browser. Play again at the same level to try to beat your record.
Continent rules
Türkiye, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Cyprus accept both Europe and Asia. Indonesia and Kazakhstan accept Asia; Egypt accepts Africa. Central America and the Caribbean count as North America. Overseas territories do not add answers for the parent country.
