What is the Missing Countries world quiz?
Several countries have vanished from a map of all 197 countries. Their borders remain, but their land blends into the ocean, so you must type every missing name to rebuild the map. Each round removes a new random set.
Read the world through its gaps
A blank in Central Europe demands a different strategy from one in the Pacific or the Sahel. Continents provide the first clue; coastlines, neighboring shapes, and relative size narrow the answer. The format tests whether your mental map still works when labels and color disappear.
A practical way to solve the map
- Scan one continent at a time instead of jumping between every visible gap.
- Use large countries and distinctive peninsulas as anchors for smaller neighbors.
- Choose 3 or 5 missing countries for a warm-up, then try 10 or the full map.
Why repeat the world version?
Because the selection changes on every new game, familiar regions cannot carry the whole score. Replays expose weak spots across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania while strengthening fast name recall.
