Twelve countries, changing gaps
South America has a compact answer set of 12 countries, making it ideal for learning the missing-map format. Each game removes a random selection and asks you to type the countries that should occupy the empty outlines.
Coastlines give away the framework
- Use Brazil as the central reference for most neighboring countries.
- Follow the Pacific edge from Colombia through Ecuador and Peru to Chile.
- Separate the Guianas in the northeast and the Río de la Plata countries in the south.
Small rounds and the full disappearance challenge
Three or five gaps make a fast review. Choosing all removes every country’s fill and turns the game into a complete free-type test, but the surviving borders still provide a geographic framework.
Learn relationships, not a list
The strongest clue is often adjacency: which country touches Brazil, which one is landlocked, or which coastline continues south. Random rounds reinforce those relationships from different starting points.
